Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AO Carepilot ("CarePilot", "we", "us", or "our"), an AI-assisted healthcare triage and doctor-matching platform available at our website and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

CarePilot provides general health information and triage support only. It is not a licensed medical provider, hospital, or emergency service.

• AI responses are informational and do not constitute a medical diagnosis, prescription, or treatment plan.
• Do not use CarePilot for medical emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g. 112 or 767 in Nigeria) or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
• Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing, or stopping any medication or treatment.
• Doctor matching and connection features facilitate introductions only; CarePilot does not guarantee availability, acceptance, or quality of care from any healthcare provider.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor or another person, you represent that you have lawful authority to provide their information and consent to processing as described in our Privacy Policy.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

CarePilot enables patients to:

• Describe symptoms through an AI chat interface
• Receive AI-generated triage guidance, symptom summaries, and educational medication information
• View matched doctors based on symptoms and profile data
• Request connections with doctors, who may be notified to contact you externally
• Manage a health profile including allergies, conditions, and medications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable Nigerian laws
• Submit false, misleading, or harmful health information
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its AI systems
• Impersonate another person or access another user's account without permission
• Use the Service to harass healthcare providers or other users
• Upload malware or content that infringes third-party rights

Our AI models may produce incomplete or inaccurate outputs. Symptom detection, urgency scoring, medication suggestions, and doctor matching are automated and may not reflect the full clinical picture. You acknowledge these limitations and agree to use professional medical judgment when acting on any information from the Service.

When you connect with a doctor through CarePilot, we share relevant symptom summaries and profile information with that provider so they can respond. Communication after connection may occur outside the platform (phone, email, or in-person). CarePilot is not responsible for the conduct, advice, or services of independent healthcare professionals.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. Upon termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) will remain in effect.

The Service, including its design, software, branding, and content (except user-submitted data), is owned by AO Carepilot or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a limited licence to use it to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AO Carepilot and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or one hundred thousand Naira (₦100,000), whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including applicable consumer protection and data protection legislation (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019, as amended). Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
